About Ecomantra
In 2000, the founders of Ecomantra, Ravi & Mahrukh formed Ecomantra as a sustainable nature awareness and travel organization. Since 1995, the founders were proactively involved in conservation and protection of India’s natural heritage, and had the opportunity to be part of the core team that facilitated two new sanctuaries; Netravalli and Mahadayi in Goa, while continuing to work for the proposed Bhimgadh Wildlife Santuary in Karnataka.

Ecomantra is committed to Ecotourism, and in its quest to develop sustainable tourism opportunities it partners with the local community, trades and individuals to strengthen local economies. Ecomantra mission and vision is to preserve the traditional eco systems in rural India including their lifestyle, food, arts & crafts, vernacular architecture and monuments. Ecomantra endeavour to achieve its mission by facilitating newer and consistent trade opportunities that is in harmony with their traditional way of life.

About Rivertrail Eco Camp
Rivertrail Eco Camp is an eco lodge that has made using traditional architectural practices from natural non toxic and breathable materials to enable a healthy, natural and comfortable environment for its guest. Rivertrail was made by the locals from materials, most of which are within 5 Km of the camp and is run by the locals.

You have the opportunity of staying in Safari Cottage, Rose Cottage of the Karvi Kutiyas.

Safari Cottage is inspired by the thought of nature coming in your staying spaces including outdoor bathrooms but ensuring complete comfort, privacy and safety by keeping out insects and pests.

Karvi Huts as we call them are made using Karvi plants, whose purple flowers blooms once every 7 years and grows wild in the monsoon all over Maharashtra. These are than coated with Murram (natural sticky clay) and cow dung (naturally antiseptic) and has a grass top roof with Earthen wall pillars for support. Adivais (tribals) who have been staying in this belt for centuries have always made their houses in this manner.

Ecomantra also accommodates you in dome tents or resort tents to provide you with an authentic camping adventure experience. The camp has bio methanation plant along with compost pits and other eco practices that safely disposes of whatever little waste is generated in the campsite.

Ecomantra believes in sharing nature you with a spirit of adventure using plenty of eco adventures - adventures that are possible in that terrain, and enables you to experience the joy of being with nature in all its glory.

Experiential Learning based nature workshops, eco adventures and games typically constitutes a segment of Ecomantra’s non-formal and non-conventional programs at its eco camps, eco resorts and eco tours across India.

Some of the over 45 Eco Adventures that we use as part of experiential learning programs are Survival Camping, Night Camping, Hiking, Tandem Kayaking, Raft Building, Birding, Trekking, Bicycling, Rafting, Canoeing, Nature Trails, Nature games, River-crossing, Farming, Eco workshops like Snake Alive Interactive Programs and lots more.

Its ONUS division also deliver these programs for students and youth through its children and youth camps.
